how sexist! men don’t even get their own category of shirts. ;)
(why are you browsing thinkgeek.com in the first place? not judgy, just curious how you landed there…)

Hehe…actually, that’s an excellent point.
And I am browsing it because it has awesome stuff like this

and this
http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/lights/ae04/
and this
http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts-apparel/unisex/popculture/c32e/
(which I totally would have bought by now if it didn’t have the stupid flames and fangs and stuff all over it – if it was subtle, it would be mine).

Yeah, it should probably say something like “Fitted T-Shirts” because that’s pretty much what it means.
If you’re concerned about the shirt they are showing as an example, though, the “I <3 My Geek" design is also available in the unisex (baggy) style.
(I am at once embarrassed and delighted by my knowledge of that fact.)
Awww, SERiously, why did they go and eff up the Sunnydale thing? I had a shirt when I was all prepubescent and shiz that just said "Bates Motel" on the right breast pocket area. Hearts!

I love you but sometimes you are a silly goose and a half!
It is totally “Womens” as in they are tailored differently than a standard tee. I mean, they could have had a “Mens” section instead of “Unisex” but I know (and obviously they know, too!) that a lot of women do not prefer the tailoring on women’s cut tees, and so they buy what has been traditionally called “Mens.” I find this the exact opposite of sexist.

Well – first of all, there might be some argument in there about how “male” is the universal, and “women” is the other, right alongside misc and babies? But you’re right, that’s not a good argument.
The thing I actually thought was sexist was that the women’s shirt says “I [heart] my Geek” – the assumption being that women AREN’T geeks, but they support and love their men, to the point of not having ironic tshirts or band tshirts or whatevs of their own – their only shirt-proclaimed interest is their men.
I know, I know…there’s a whole page of shirts in there, so it’s not their “only” interest. But it is the one advertised on the main t-shirt page, and therefore the one they expect to draw in the most interest.
Though Becky does point out that the “I [heart] my Geek” shirt is available in unisex as well, so that does make it mooter.
So, yeah. While I don’t hate that there is a “women’s” section (certainly I appreciate that distinction in, say, jeans and swimsuits) I would point out that I effing LOOOOOOOOAATHE the term “babydoll” to describe those type of t-shirts. Ugh.
