pfffff

Dear Internet,

Wtf is “interfacing?” I bet I don’t need it.

Love,

A Good Sewer

Actually, i believe that you DO need it. OR that you need something to use in it’s place to give structure to your garment. In theory, you can use muslin, & i heard somewhere that you can use dryer sheets? Hm. It makes sense if you’ve ever touched interfacing (i have,) so maybe that would work?
Are all of the statements that i have phrased as questions helping you at all?

I’ve tried to make a few things that were all “you need interfacing!” without it before, and they all kind of sucked.
It’s cheap and even kind of fun if you get the iron-on kind!

Sigh, I broke down and bought some (the iron-on kind, too, I’m happy to report!). I’m generally okay with limp tote bag handles and floppy skirt yokes, so I’ve dealt without it so far, but imagining all those buttons without any…grumble. Fine, sewing! I will do you correctly! But I won’t like it!

I totally thought you were having plumbing problems when I read this.
